Serving Up Support: Disruptive Advertising’s Heartfelt Fundraiser for Utah Metropolitan Ballet’s Autism Program

At Disruptive Advertising, we’re committed to making a positive impact in the digital marketing world and within our local community. Recently, we had the incredible opportunity to support Utah Metropolitan Ballet’s (UMB) autism program through a unique and heartwarming fundraiser that exceeded all our expectations.

A Pickleball Extravaganza with a Purpose

Utah Metropolitan Ballet hosts several fundraisers throughout the year, and one of the donation options immediately caught the attention of one of our Directors of Account Management, Berrett Brady, and his wife—a Pickleball package in collaboration with the Club Pickleball USA in Orem. This package rented out Club Pickleball USA’s orem locationfor a few hours and included a delightful food truck experience.

However, what made this truly special was the vision of the Bradys. They saw this package as a golden opportunity to enjoy a great time and raise additional awareness and donations for the UMB’s autism program. Their initiative led to the creation of compelling marketing materials that effectively conveyed the ballet’s mission and the significant impact of its autism program. The word began to spread!

Making a Difference, One Game at a Time

The funds generated from this event directly support the ballet’s autism performances, enabling them to continue their incredible work and provide a priceless gift to families impacted by autism—the chance to attend a ballet without judgment or concerns about disturbing others. The ballet dedicates 3 to 4 performances each year to these unique families, allowing them to attend these events free of charge. Here is a video that captures some of this tender magic:

A Resounding Success

The turnout for our fundraiser was nothing short of remarkable. With 30 teams and over 70 enthusiastic participants, many of whom generously donated, the outpouring of support from our team and the community was astounding and heartwarming.

Here’s what some of the participants had to say:

  • “I loved attending! Berrett kicked off the event with a touching video that captured the joy the children experienced while watching the ballet – emphasizing the beautiful cause we were all supporting.” – Summer Choi, Amazon Specialist.
  • “I had a great time. I brought a friend, and we had a great time playing. A lot of great players brought their game, and we were able to enjoy the tournament.” – Tony Dittmer, Analytics Architect.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to all those who contributed to the success of this event. We’d also like to acknowledge some of our generous donors:

Looking Ahead to the Future

The overwhelming success of this fundraiser has left us eagerly anticipating what the future holds. We can’t wait to do it all over again!

This event was about more than just pickleball; it was about our community coming together to make a meaningful difference. We take immense pride in participating in this endeavor and look forward to more opportunities to give back to our community.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this event possible, and a special shoutout to  Club Pickleball USA in Orem and Utah Metropolitan Ballet for their invaluable partnership.

Stay tuned for more stories of how disruptive advertising continues to impact our community and beyond positively. Together, we can achieve remarkable things.
